Leonardo Da vinci

"And those men who are inventors and interpreters between nature and man, as compared with boasters and declaimers of the works of others, must be regarded and not otherwised esteemed than as the object infront of the mirror, when compared with its image when seen in the mirror. For the first is soemthing in itself, and the other nothingness -- Folks little indebted to nature, since it is only by chance that they were the human form and without it I might class them with the herd of beasts" -- Leonardo Da Vinci.

Leonardo Da vinci was one of the most famous painters of the Italian Renaissance, he was a scientist, inventor, mathematician, architect, engineer and philosopher as well as being a great artist. His ideas were never published, and only a small handful of his paitings were left behind after his death. He was the illegitimate son of a 25-year-old notary, Ser Piero, and a peasant girl, Caterina, and was born on April 15, 1452, in Vinci, Italy, just outside Florence.

"Leonardo da Vinci was like a man who awoke too early in the darkness, while the others were all still asleep" Sigmund Freud
