Leave my shadow alone

Daylight comes to those who wait for it. It doesnt to those who sleep on it.
Only those that you love can leave a print in your heart.

If you love me dont leave me

If you love me dont leave me,
stay by my side.

If you love me, support me,
I need your strength inside.

If you want the best for me,
Help me.
I need your energy and light,

If you want me to advance,
Dont threaten me, dont fight

All I ever want, is a push now and then
A little note of worthy welcome
So my powers renew themselves again

I treasure and promise to keep
every word that you say
In vain that I will dsmiss
my errors one day..

There is much more to my mind
than you will ever know,
Just because I may be a little insecure
that does not mean inside I dont glow..

I pray that in the few days to come
I will again regain the promise
that I solemnly began.

I love you. Dont leave me :)
Be grateful for the opportunities you are given, for they may only come once.

We live in a hell we made ourselves

Gratititude - A blessing

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us -- Albert Schweitzer

One of the greatest elements of ones personality is to be grateful, to have gratitude, to be content with the little that others may offer you, and to be happy with everything that comes your way even if it is not the best. A person who can go about their life with that important feature, has really accomplished a great deal. I will discuss why.

In a narration by one of the Imams (I cant specifically quote as I do not recall which) it is mentioned that a person that has no expectations from people in return for what they do is never disappointed. In other words one who does not expect much, one who is gratfeul, one who is content will never feel discontent when little is offered, or nothing is offered at all. They are thus gratfeul again, gratitude inside gratitude, a very simple and yet interrelated relationship that goes nicely hand in hand.

The most frustrating thing for another person is to feel that they can never meet your requirements, never meet what you want, what you are satisfied with, what you like..etc.. This can lead the person whos aim is to satisfy you, to actually stop attempting to satisfy you at all. That will consequently lead you to be further irate or agitated, because the attention you craved for at the start had now nulled to 0.

For there to be a complementary relationship between two people, a hand and glove method of give and take must be practiced, where one partner sacrifices a little for the other, taking it in turns to meet each others needs, so that at at least one point in time, there will be one partner happy and satisfied, that then makes the two comfortable with each other and hence more compatible.

In order for such a solution to be implemented thoroughly the first thing to be done is to distinguish what is causing one or the other to be ungratfeul, unhappy, is there a way to resolve this? What is the common cause for one to be ungratfeul? First one must understand the common meaning of gratitude: Wikipedia says: Gratitude is a positive emotion, which involves a feeling of emotional indebtedness towards another person; often accompanied by a desire to thank them, or to reciprocate for a favour they have done for you. In a religious context, gratitude can also refer to a feeling of indebtedness towards a deity, e.g. God in Christianity.

The above therefore leads us to believe that for one to be ungratfeul, they are not only invoking a negative feeling, but they are actually feeling that the other person owes them, or that they must recieve sometihng for them to be happy. Once this is clearly segregated from the common needs and wants a solution is very well achievable.

As Buddha says: Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.
